Twenty20 is made only for sharing screen space of stars. Starts with crap comedy scenes of the makers’ favorite actors. Comedy for the sake of comedy, cliched to the max. Siby _Udayan tried to write a script based on three major characters, but fails miserably to form a script and ends up like a screen sharing show. The formula is again the revenge of hero (heroes here), away from the clutches of law.
The writers have tried to include enough punch lines between the three stars(Mammootty, Mohanlal & Suresh Gopi), which aims only the fans’ claps. As the film enters the second half, even the director forgets some events of the first half. Then starts the attempt for a climax which can give space for the three actors, and ends up as a mess.
Its only the screen presence that matters according to Joshy and Siby Udayan. They even try to imitate Tamil stunts (one hilarious jumping scene of Mohanlal is there with pathetic graphics). The two songs are not upto mark. Some positive sparks are there, in the scenes of Mohanlal in court. Nothing else was impressive.

Nikhil, I was waiting for your review, even more, when I read in a few websites that the movie was really good!
I had my share of doubts because of the fact that this film had such a huge star cast. I really wanted this movie to be a good one which could turn out to be a blockbuster. After all it is the Malayalam film industry which benefits from this. Sadly, from what you have written it doesn’t seem to be the case.
As long as we have fans who only bother about the image of their superstar in the posters, we will tend to have such mediocre efforts. Lets hope the situation improves.

the film is having good crowd response in these initial days, and will be satisfying hard core fans. Most probably, It will end up as a superhit. But quality stands miles away from this film.
It’s not the best of the movies. But its way better than what it could have become.
I felt the script was perfect for this kind of multi-star movie. There is nothing new in the movie, that’s true. But except the first 15-20 min comedy attempts, everything else is well composed. This movie is a festival time for theaters. The rush is unimaginable. Even heard the movie reached the top 4 spot in terms of collection in Karnataka…
What a boring movie, making for Sperstar’s. Boring Comedy and Songs.
I saw this movie 6 months after the release, on DVD. Away fro mthe hype and the hoopla, this movie is very average. I’m saddened by how this movie is beign praised as ‘great’ and ‘perfect’ and as an example of a good Malayalam movie. If this is a great movie in Kerala now, it speaks volumes about our fan culture and quality consciousness.
