Red Chillies - review

malayalam-movie-red-chillies.jpg

After decent scripting with ChinthaMani & an average Nadiya, A K Sajan fails miserably to write a script for Red Chillees. Just a bad rehash of Chinthamani is portrayed on the screen. Shaji Kailas has the hang over of the recent tamil films he had seen, and nothing goes creative from his side.

Film starts in a vague way, and didn’t etch anything till interval. Below average dialogs given for the girls and the slang and usage stands miles away from reality. The lead character OMR is not a developed one. Only Mohanlal’s screen presence makes the character lively.

The plot didn’t develop even in the second half too and many points go in illogical way. Red Chillees didnt create thrill at any part. The only plus point is the screen presence of Mohanlal. The looks given for him is really good. Everything else, went wrong with this film.

Verdict : Avoidable

Rating 4.5/10
