The film deals with the relationship of a group of young IT professionals. Kamal has chosen simple way to narrate the modern age youngsters’ changing life style and outlook of life. The script is an above average one, but it has succeeded to give good characterization to the leading characters. There is nothing innovative in the film. Deals with friendship, love and separation.
Abhi(Narain) and Charulatha(Meera) are love birds. Mani Kunju(Jayasurya) has a soft corner of the quick witted Rose Mary(Roma). The story mainly revolves around these pairs. Sidharth (Indrajith) and Mumtaz(Samvrutha) are married couples. Kalyani(Radhika) is also a member in this friendship gang.
The songs tuned by Bijipal is just average and does not have the usual Kamal touch.
The humour in the film is purely situational and there is no Vadivelu - Vivek(Suraj- Salim Kumar) for satisfying first day audience. Narain’s performance was an average one and his character does not have complicated situations. Jayasurya has improved in the last two years and he was good with his natural performance. Meera can never be blamed for repetition, and she did justice to her character. Roma also did a good job.
In short Minnaminnikoottam is a soft feel good movie.

from an established director like Kamal? Will you say this is the life of IT professionals? A good film maker should also be a good observer of his/her surroundings.
Otherwise we will have to suffer this types of dirt.

The film was better as compared to the recent cliched duds from super stars. the film lacks a strong script. Thats true.
But utter craps becomes hit today.. among those minnaminni is a feel-good one. thats all.

Its absolutely a nonsense movie.. Unnecessary time wasting one.. The kamal & his crew didnt use their observation Skills. When a movie based on IT Professional, the team should know at least how they are performing their job. Surpirsed to note that apart fm showing the Browisng Room(Just using Chat ), no way it connected with IT Professionals. Dear Kamal If you interact with couple of IT professionals at IBM/HP/ TCS /Infosys/CTS , you will come to know what is their professional style & how they handle romance, family, emotions etc.Also, You will get various methods of love affairs developing at these environements… So Be ready for a real movie of IT Professionals…
Phew, some average movie this is. I don’t think the director was trying to tell the story of IT professionals, he just wished to show colorful people, and not many other professionals can afford those designer apartments where the characters live and fight. And nice work-places and too. So be it.
I am a non-resident Malayali and do not watch too many movies. The few of Meera’s movies I’ve seen recently, they are so predictable. Strong-willed girl, ends up being kind of orphaned, and then a half-as-strong hero will save her from crisis. Vinodayatra, Achuvinte Amma, Minnaminnikoottam, Swapnakoodu …
Jayasurya is the sole grace of this movie. He is a natural. Good actor, easy and adapts into his character well.
Don’t spend too much of your money on this. Worth watching in a C class theatre if you have nothing else to do.
